Assassinio sull’Orient Express su Sky Cinema

Sky Cinema presenta in prima visione Assassinio sull'Orient Express (Murder on the Orient Express), in onda lunedì 1 ottobre in prima serata alle ore 21.15 su Sky Cinema Uno e alle 21.45 su Sky Cinema Hits, oltre che essere disponibile anche su Sky On Demand e NOW TV. Il film, basato sull'omonimo romanzo di Agatha Christie, è co-prodotto, diretto e interpretato da Kenneth Branagh (Cenerentola, Thor) nei panni del detective belga Hercule Poirot. Nel cast stellare compaiono anche Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer e Johnny Depp.

Il romanzo di Agatha Christie, pubblicato nel 1934, è considerato una delle più ingegnose storie mai inventate. La storia ruota attorno ad un omicidio a bordo del famoso treno Orient Express e il detective belga Hercule Poirot deve risolvere il caso – ma ci sono un certo numero di passeggeri che potenzialmente potrebbero essere l'assassino.

Ridley Scott (The Martian), Simon Kinberg (The Martian, X-Men: Days of Future Past), Mark Gordon (Steve Jobs) e Branagh hanno prodotto il film assieme con Michael Schaefer, Aditya Sood e Judy Hofflund. Michael Green (Blade Runner 2) ha scritto la sceneggiatura, con James Prichard e Hilary Strong, per Agatha Christie Ltd., produttori esecutivi.

Assassinio sull'Orient Express ha esordito al box office italiano posizionandosi al primo posto nel primo weekend, mentre ha debuttato al terzo posto nel primo weekend americano.
