TRAMA
I sospetti di Sam su Alex crescono e la task force va ad arrestarlo. Ma Alex viene aiutato da Faber a sfuggire alla cattura. Ma e' una trappola: la vera talpa e' proprio Faber. Mark e Katya scoprono che e' stato lui a chiamare il 911 per incastrare Alex, proprio un attimo prima che bussi alla loro porta, insieme a Sam e Brock. Katya d'istinto vorrebbe ucciderlo, ma Mark la convince a mantenere la calma: con un rilevatore di posizione seguiranno Faber e riusciranno a liberare Alex. Il ragazzo e' gravemente ferito, gli O'Connor sono stati scoperti, sono soli contro tutti. E il loro pensiero va immediatamente a Sarah.
With just a blurry photo to work off of, Katya and Mark desperately try to put a name with the face of the triggerman. Using facial recognition software, they learn the identity of the Black Dagger operative: Oscar Christoph. One of the most wanted men in the world, he was an international assassin and terrorist who supposedly died in 1994. Meanwhile, Alex, mourning Michelle in his hotel room, gets a phone call from Faber telling him he's being set up for murder and needs to run. The FBI has already swarmed the hotel, but Faber expertly guides Alex, helping him evade law enforcement and escape out the loading dock, where he's waiting in a getaway car. When they reach a safe house, Faber reveals why he's helping him: Sam is the mole. Faber's theory is that Alex uncovered something big but couldn't go to the task force with it, so he confided in Michelle. But the info made Michelle uneasy, so she turned to Sam for advice, and it got her killed. Sam then set Alex up to look like the mole and take the fall. Alex then reveals to Faber that the Black Dagger triggerman is Oscar Christoph and shows him the photo of Oscar in New York as proof. Faber says he needs to know who helped Alex, but Alex maintains that he acted alone. Finally it dawns on Alex: Faber helped him escape and brought him to the safe house to find out who else knows about Christoph, not to stop Black Dagger, but to ensure it happens. Faber is the mole. Faber killed Michelle. And Alex is now his prisoner. Meanwhile, Katya and Mark are on the hunt to find out who made the 911 call from the pay phone outside Michelle's apartment building. They break into the bodega on Michelle's street and steal its security footage. After reviewing the tapes they realize, just as Alex has, that Faber is Michelle's killer. Just then the doorbell rings: it's Brock, Sam and Faber, looking for Alex. After discovering that Alex illegally accessed classified FBI files using Michelle's credentials, Sam is convinced that Alex is the mole and killed Michelle. The task force has stopped by the O'Connors' to see if they know where their fugitive son is hiding, but neither Katya nor Mark has any idea. Believing Faber killed Alex, the two decide to put a tracker on him to see if he can lead them to their son, all while playing it cool for the federal agents. Faber can't just kill Alex, though, because he knows his captive is working with at least one other person. That is a threat to him and his employer, so his accomplice, Timur, injects a liquid into Alex's neck that will make Alex talk. Faber questions him for hours, trying to get him to reveal his accomplices, but Alex refuses to comply. The drugs trigger hallucinations that his parents and Victor have come to save him, causing him to accidentally reveal Victor's name to Faber. In one of his hallucinations, Katya tells him that the only way to escape is to make Faber think he's dying so that he removes Alex's handcuffs. So Alex manages to cut his wrist on a rusty nail and starts to bleed out. As he loses consciousness, Timur tries to resuscitate him, but Alex grabs Timur's gun and shoots him. He then shoots at Faber but it's too late - he's gone. Just then Mark and Katya burst in - they followed Faber to Alex's location. While Faber gets away, the O'Connors get there just in time to save a barely conscious Alex. Hundreds of miles away in Canada, Victor and Natalie arrive at their new home, a cabin in the snow-covered woods. They're eager to start a new life, but still must be vigilant, so Victor hides a cache of guns in the outdoor barbecue, just in case. They covered their tracks well, but the Rezident is hell-bent on hunting them down. He's uncovered several encrypted money transfers from Victor's account to a bank in Newfoundland - he's been planning his escape for years. After fleeing the O'Connors, Faber meets with the Rezident and updates him on Alex's escape and mention of Victor. He recommends calling off Black Dagger, but the Rezident has a better plan. He'll flood the task force with leads to bogus operatives, discrediting the Christoph lead. He then turns to one of his men and orders him to find and kill the O'Connors and Victor. Now that Faber has seen the O'Connors, they can't go home or take Alex to a hospital. The family is on its own. And they still need to stop Black Dagger.
