TRAMA

Benson e Stabler devono scoprire chi ha violentato e ucciso una loro collega dell'antidroga. E quando interviene la DEA, sono costretti a mettersi sotto traccia. 

A woman who is found dead with her tongue cut-out turns out to be an NYPD officer turned DEA undercover infiltrating the Columbian drug cartel. DEA learns that Benson and Stabler are investigating the murder and quickly move-in and play big brother. They allow SVU to investigate, but only as far as the murder. The detectives step on toes, however, when one of the DEA informants comes forward and leads them to cartel boss' boat where he killed the woman. The lead DEA detective will not let Cabot bring the informant forward in fear of blowing the cover for other operatives inside the cartel. Cabot insists on prosecuting the kingpin, but her life is severely threatened. Making matters worse, the lead DEA detective is killed with a car bomb. Branch orders her to drop the case against the man so the Federal government can press charges. Soon after, however, Cabot is shot and the precinct assumes she is dead. Turns out she pulled through, but will now be in protective custody, with her "funeral" to go on as planned.
