La Viajante (2020)

Un road movie esistenziale, con rimandi al cinema di Michelangelo Antonioni. Al centro della vicenda Angela, che vive una routine da cui sembra impossibile sfuggire, fino al momento in cui non si avventurerà in un viaggio attraverso terre remote, dove scoprirà un interesse speciale nel filmare insetti utilizzando la telecamera di sua madre, mentre si occuperà degli impulsi, imprevisti e sconosciuti, causati dalla solitudine.

The Wanderer is an echo of that time we all have when we are a child lying in bed, in the dark of our bedrooms, thinking for the first time in death and the extinction of those we love. This first conscience of our finitude is one of the most significants in our existence I believe. I tried to colored by this energy the way of the main character Angela deals with things, She is really connected with her mother, childhood, memories… that gave me the opportunity to explore that feeling of finitude. Those memories determine the identity of Angela (consciously and unconsciously) the first half of the film and the other half is her trying to rebel to those. Searching if there is something else inside her except pieces of others, objects, ideas of others… Is there a real pure identity? Or we are just an accumulation of memories, fears and history. We wont have the answer to this questions but it is important to ask them, and that's what the dreamy Angela does for us.
