Biografia
Jorge Dorado made his directorial debut with the Catalan filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra and their producers, Ombra Films, who opted for the talents of a young director in Mindscape, a thriller about a man with the ability to enter people's memories starring Mark Strong. The film premiered in 2013 at the Sitges Fantasy Film Festival and earned him a Goya Award nomination in the Best New Director category. Prior to this, Jorge had directed several short films, including War and documentary short New Times, earning him nominations for the Goya Awards. He worked as assistant director alongside Pedro Almodóvar in Talk To Her, Bad Education, with Baz Luhrmann in Moulin Rouge and Guillermo del Toro in The Devil's Backbone. In 2014 Jorge became the director for TV series El Ministerio del Tiempo, directing several epsiodes each season, as well as the series Giants which won the MIM award for Best Director and The Pier, MIM Award for Best Series. His credits also include the TV feature film Teresa, Gold Medal at the New York Television Festival, Executive Producer on the series Green Frontier, and as the director of several renowned advertising campaigns for brands including Movistar, Nintendo, Jazztel, Kia, Ford, Bancaja and Orange.
